JR Briggs posted this great quote that states well what God has called us to do in starting a new church.
“We do not want, as the newspapers say, a church that will move with the world. We want a church that will move the world.” -G.K. Chesterton

I had a conversation with a young man who said that he read an article stating that if MySpace was a nation, it would be the largest nation on this planet. With that we both pondered that if we could somehow employ that energy and ambition to bringing the Word of God to the far corners of the world, and be as evangelical as MySpace has been in connecting people, how awesome that would be.
Stan,
Great thoughts! We can. To do so, every believer must be signed up literally and spiritually by bringing redemptive purpose to their relationships. This means we must live counter-cultural, but intentional. Counter-cultural in that we intentionally live to bring God’s irresistible love into every relationship we have – whether it be on-line or face-to-face; in our homes or in the marketplace; in our recreation or in our work.
